CM3 is registered to practice in Ontario and its members are in good standing with both the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) and the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (APGO). We have on staff registered Ontario Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MOECC) Qualified Persons knowledgeable of all CSA environmental standards and MOECC regulations as well as Brownfield Development (O.Reg 153/04). Our company is also registered (NEQ) to work in Quebec.

Marc MacDonald, PEng

Principal Consultant

Marc has managed more than 500 Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments involving hydrocarbons, metals, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, PCBs, and solvents. He manages in situ and offsite soil and ground water remediation including soil excavation, dual phase extraction, onsite enhanced bioremediation, and natural attenuation. He specializes in the preparation of remedial action plans and remedial strategies. Mr. MacDonald acts as liaison between clients and regulatory officials to ensure all projects meet applicable federal or provincial standards.

Marc has more than 20 years experience as an environmental consultant including five years in the petroleum contracting industry.

Robert D McGrath, BES

Principal Consultant

Robert provides technical advice about hazardous materials, Phase I, II, and III environmental assessments, and indoor air quality to clients with multi-building portfolios. He conducts asbestos and designated substance surveys, creates asbestos management plans, then designs, inspects, and monitors abatement projects across Canada. Robert conducts indoor air quality assessments for federal, provincial, and municipal government departments and agencies, hospitals, the insurance industry, school boards, and private industry.

He has specialized in hazardous materials consulting for more than 20 years.

David Morroz, CET

Principal Consultant

David specializes in hazardous material building surveys, mould and indoor air quality assessments, Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, compliance audits, industrial hygiene investigations, and property condition assessments. He works with residential, commercial, and industrial clients in the real property, property management, and insurance industries.

He has been an environmental consultant for more than 19 years with extensive training experience across Canada.

Richard Pope, CET

Principal Consultant

Richard conducts industrial hygiene assessments, general and complaint-driven indoor air quality (IAQ) assessments, complex Hazardous Material Building Surveys, mould origin and forensic investigations, industrial hygiene, and hazmat abatement design for asbestos, mould, lead, and radon. He handles budget control, QA/QC, health and safety, deliverables, client liaison, and internal personnel management for private industry and government agencies.

He has provided environmental consulting for CM3 for 13 years.

Karl Bilyj, BSc, PGeo

Senior Geoscientist

Karl defines site geological and hydrogeological characteristics for the development of risk management and/or remedial options for properties contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, and metals. He manages remediation systems such as multi-phase extraction, passive petroleum hydrocarbon recovery, in situ chemical oxidation, air sparging, soil vapour extraction, and nutrient injections. He has experience with ex situ technologies including landfarming, bio-piles, and excavation for offsite disposal.

Karl is a Professional Geoscientist (Ontario) with over 15 years experience and a Qualified Person (QP) per Ontario Regulation 153/04 for Phase I and II ESAs in support of filing for a Record of Site Condition. He has managed and conducted ESAs and site remediation projects across North America.

Alden Crossman, M.Env.Sc., P.Biol., EP

Project Manager

Alden’s environmental consulting expertise spans across CM3’s indoor and outdoor environment service lines. He specializes in the assessment of the natural environment and biological field assessment in addition to the assessment of contaminated sites including conducting Environmental Impact Studies, Landfill Impact Assessments, Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, Designated Substance Surveys, Potable Water Testing Programs and Hazardous Materials Abatement Consulting for private, public and residential clients. He provides a holistic, big-picture approach to addressing various environmental concerns and is involved with developing and optimizing CM3’s environmental consulting services.

He has been working in the environmental industry for over 8 years and has provided consulting services related to Environmental Assessments and Hazardous Materials in the Ottawa area since 2017.
