Grow Ops

We provide consulting services required for the rehabilitation of a building following its use as a marijuana grow operation (grow op) as per the City of Ottawa By-Law No 2012-402 and Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) regulations.

We assess the structural, mechanical, electrical, and geotechnical properties of the building, recommend upgrades required for its intended use and occupancy, determine the presence of designated substances, undertake mould assessment, monitor indoor air quality, and test for the presence of pesticides, herbicides, and other chemicals.

Our assessments include intrusive visual inspections, collection of air quality data, moisture content measurements, and sampling for airborne mould spores. We then recommend remedial action, if required, which can include cleaning and disinfection, duct cleaning, ensuring proper moisture levels in the building, and removal of designated substances or other chemicals.
